The daily routine - Grab lunch at the Garuda Makasan, head off to the start of the beach and walk to the Bintang Flores Hotel, where they have good Wifi and a pool. Predictably expensive on the food, the coffee is actually not bad value - 32,000 rp but it is a pot which can be made to last a couple of hours. Very quiet place with just a handful of Western tourists in residence judging by the fact that I have the poolside exclusively the entire afternoon, most afternoons. After a hard day by the pool then, its time to head back to the village via the beach again. Plenty of locals cooling off in the sea at 5pm and as always boys stripped naked and showing off in that carefree manner.
