Its a village in the foot hills, the hills north of Te Horo and the way upto Palmerston North. An impulsive diversion from highway 57 towards Palmerston North airport. The map suggests this might be a scenic area, possibly some view points to be explored. A collection of about 15 houses around the village green, a village hall and that's it. A track does wind upwards into the hills. Its small single file gravel track with an occasional sign that advises light vehicles to move over for HGV's! A whitewater rafting course here according to the notice board - well, I doubt a fish could swim down this let alone a raft.
