More Kandy
The Lake Round is the guesthouse this time, spacious double room with bathroom - not spotless but clean enough and with fast wifi, the 1500 rupees per night is reasonable. Breakfast is offered at 350 rupees but no thanks, 150 in the town! So, once again in Kandy, not sure for how long yet, a few days at least. I think the place deserves a closer look.
Starting to spot a few decent cafes now, it's just remembering where they are since orientation takes some getting used to around here. I'm noticing more colonial architecture, some of it date stamped adding to the interest, slightly - some late 1800,s and some mid 1940's.
Taking it slow around Kandy over the next few days with the emphasis on spotting nature, particularly looking out for those exotic birds we can only see in zoos, back home in Britain.
Plenty of trails to follow by the looks of things, both officially and unofficially as I'm warned about 4 leopards running around in the forest behind the guest house hill. All the same, curiosity wins over, and I'm never really far from civilisation as there are properties dotted around the forest anyway. No leopards, just a couple of really big spiders well hidden from camera view, buried deep inside their funnel webs. Good views over the town though making some nice pictures for the album.
